Best of luck to UNI-LCJ English seminar participants 2009-11-14

Nagasaki In Our Mind. It’s Wonder Coming Near

I wish to extend my greetings and love to our friends at UNI-LCJ who are participating in their English Seminar, and wish them the best of luck.

My name is Erdenesaihan Tsedevsuren, Saihnaa for short. I’m 28 this year. Among the things I love to do are singing, writing poetry, listening to music, wrestling, playing basketball, football, table tennis and more. I first started to work as a software programmer in 2004 at the Social Insurance Department. I first heard of UNI in 2007 and ever since I have been an active youth member of the union.
Mr. Sakurada, Mr. Ito, Ms. Ogawa. Every year at least one of them comes to Mongolia. And on each and every such occasion my desire, like that of so many of our youth, to bring change becomes bigger and brighter.
May 17th, 2009 was a historic day for us. With the kind gifts of our brothers and sisters at UNI-LCJ, as well as Prithvi Lekkad of UNITES PROFESSIONAL we have been able to open our Communicators Center and now I’m working as its supervisor.

To our union members, especially our young members, we offer them courses in English, computers and Japanese. And in between our courses we offer them classical and traditional music to inspire them to learn and do more.
I, like you all, am “The Only One Flower in the world”.

World Day for Decent Work Greeting

Dear Christine & Adriana,

First of all, the first video is a small token from the bottom of my heart to express my feelings to Christine & Adriana for the wonderful gift. These are just some of the videos i took with it to show how it's been put to good use.

The below video is a scene from the English class that we've started last month. Our English conversation teacher Marc brought his friend Alini from Brazil to talk with our students. Plus, we give computer classes to our union members.

The below video is from the football competition we had last weekend among Social Insurance employees. This is an example of what we can do with the Flip to record & organize various social events and trainings to socialize and unite workers with their Union.

Have a decent day at work sisters!!!

Solidarity Forever!

A Video Tribute To Our Brother Emanuel

Our dear brother Emanuel was a UNI Communicator. He sadly passed away while attending the June 2009 UNI Communicators' Forum in Cyprus. It came as a shock to all of us, not only the attendees but UNI as a whole. He passed away at the very young age of 47 and his family and friends selflessly donated gifts to 47 children in Mongolia, the same number as his age.

During the June 26-July 1 UNI-LCJapan, UNI-LCMongolia Youth Seminar, the attendees, including the 6 LCJ youth members gave out gifts on the streets of Ulaanbaatar to children in need. The remaining 41 gifts were handed out with the help of a local television studio.

We shall remember him as our brother, as our colleague, as our friend.
